Enrichment

More than exercise

Dogs need more than physical activity to thrive. Our enrichment sessions combine movement, mental stimulation, and fun challenges that leave your dog calmer, happier, and more connected to you.

Whether it’s an enriched walk, a sniffari outing, or a trick training course, we’ll match activities to your dog’s needs and personality.

Movement with purpose

Every activity is paced and structured to suit your dog, from confident explorers to more cautious learners.

Mental stimulation

We engage your dog’s brain with sniffing, problem-solving, and skill-building games that prevent boredom and frustration.

Practical training

Sessions reinforce useful skills like recall, focus, and calm observation in real-life settings.

Clear communication

You’ll receive simple updates and take-home activities so you can carry enrichment into everyday life.

Frequently asked questions

Why do I need an intro session before enrichment walks or sniffaris?

The intro session helps set your dog up for success. It gives us a chance to get to know your dog, assess their current skills, and understand their personality. We also use this time to set goals with you and make sure your dog is comfortable before joining walks or sniffari outings.

How are enrichment walks different from a regular walk?

Regular walks provide exercise, but enrichment walks add structured activities like recall practice, calm observation, and sniffing opportunities. They are designed to meet your dog’s physical and mental needs so they come home calmer and more satisfied.

Is enrichment a good fit for anxious or shy dogs?

Yes. Enrichment can help build confidence in safe, manageable ways. Activities are adjusted to your dog’s comfort level so they never feel pushed too far. For dogs who are very fearful or reactive, we may recommend starting with private training before enrichment.

Do you use positive reinforcement in enrichment sessions?

Absolutely. All of our enrichment services are rooted in science-based, positive methods. We focus on creating fun, rewarding experiences that build your dog’s skills and confidence. As members of the Canadian Association of Professional Dog Trainers and the IAABC, we follow a professional Code of Ethics that prioritizes your dog’s well-being.
